The one that is most irritating is to hear them swear by the heavens that "They will never be responsible for the blood of Gambians". Yaya has murdered your fellow countrymen for twenty years and all that is asked of you is to leverage your following to stop his murderous ways and all you keep hiding behind is to show him that you are practitioners of democracy or to tell him to wait until Uncle Oba or Jessey arrives. You ran from your responsibility and you failed Gambians. Yes, this shit is a winner take all and since Yaya had his way all this time, he can say shit through his controlled mouthpiece. Since the people have figured out that they cannot rely on you all, they will find their own solutions for they can do bad all to themselves.

The most dishonest thing that some of these politicians do is to play with the emotions of Gambians. We have seen them come to the US for instance and make all sorts of promises that the moment they land in the Gambia they will do this and that and they will get together. Some will tell you when I land in Gambia, I will personally visit this one and that one and I will bring X, Y, Z, Q to a meeting, Harr Len Reh, Be Ma Egga. Buy the time they left the US and the Afra and Benachin Circuits, they will have forgotten that they said anything remotely close, only to surface in Sweden to perform the same stunt and else where. And so, in the absence of a threat, the monkey will continue to clown. Yes, Yaya will continue to use tribalism and not a darn thing will happen. Heck, he poisoned folks in towns near us and what happened to him, again? So, calling the UDP a tribal group ready to mortgage Gambia and her Billions is a drop in the bucket of what he has done to Gambians the last twenty years and counting.

Yaya is an equal opportunity tribalist and has used folks from all tribes in the Gambia to do his dirty work, whether in killings, disappearances, abductions, bombings, spreading lies, etc. This time it is Sabally, before it was Sidat, Njogou, Tangara, Geye, Diatta, Sambou, Jammeh, Gomez, etc. He has no qualms keeping on, so, how foolish can we get to get stuck on rationalization on limitations of means necessary to get rid of him. You saw him on CNN. The man is as healthy as a warthog and if we continue to wish him away, you and I may be long gone for that to happen. And so, we need to stop kidding ourselves and stop stroking our egos to thinking we are special humans and chosen by Allah/God. Yero, sorry for my delayed response. Our people know what's up. All this talk about democracy is to not come face to face with the ugliness that confronts us. We need to stop being too calculating while our fellow citizens are being murdered, arrested, detained, etc. I know too many of us get hemorrhoids just to call Yaya by name (just to be on the safe side) much less calling for his head. We can use flowery words, triple-up on praying, wishing, and hoping all we want only to wake up and see the sun do the same dog gone thing it has always done - rise and set. We have done that for twenty years with zilch for it and if we repeat the same feat thrice we shall get zilch. We are at a point where it is either Yaya's head or nothing. The folks that caged Yaya in NY did not just wished it, but they got off their behind and brave the elements to fight for what they believe in. That is how we get things done. If one is not willing or unable to stand in the trenches, then help fund those that are in the trenches or are willing to join those in the trenches. Like Lamin said, this fight against Yaya is more for Joe than for the rest of Gambia. Either way I cut it I am being screwed by his presence, directly or indirectly. When has love, democracy, prayer, education etc., ever gotten rid off a tyrant worthy of his name? Never, and it will not start with us. I am glad you are seeing the same and beyond. Quite honestly, I am very made up on my mind. We are hanging onto a smaller democratic principle, that is to only stop at enlightenment, organizing, and rallying. These efforts will complement a bigger democratic principle. The bigger democratic principle is to counter aggression with aggression. There is no democracy without its ingredients. Oh well, if it is killing/tortures, how many people are murdered, arrested, and even disappeared without trace under Jammeh's misrule? So for such a criminal, which religious doctrine, cultural ethic or even human belief is there to say that people cannot defend themselves. I think some of the problems that some of our folks have is too much book reading on democracy and eventually losing sight of a key component of democracy, that is lacking the action spirit to die for a democratic cause. We must not confine ourselves to only some of these books. It is very dangerous. Every effort done on the walls of democracy was done according to the knowledge available at the material time. I am telling all to get the dust layering on their eyes and brains. That seal of dust is all one needs to remove to see light. It is very democratic to defend yourself. It is very democratic to uproot a criminal ruler like Yaya Jammeh in whichever method can be adopted.

A professor recently told me that if the Ghandi people had weapons, what is there to suggest that they won't have defended themselves against oppressors. Mandela clearly showed the way.

Herein, I sincerely submit that given the predicament we are in, the only way is to arrest Jammeh. Election mechanish has proved not to work because Jammeh is IEC and IEC is Jammeh. The opposition couldn't unite. The diaspora organizations are trying coupled with the online media. That is all helpful, but the final battle is to confront the man, either arrest him or if he refuses arrest, to be gassed to fainting point.

Musa Dadis was sent only a lone bullet and his ass was put on check. That is the end of a long story.

Those educated or confused folks about democracy who choose to sit on the fence or being undecided on important matters like these, may as today start to give things another thought. We all saw how just a chunk of our gallant diaspora folks caged Jammeh in that hotel. Who will say that is not democratic?

The analogy is like the shepherd who sits down to see the wolf preying on his herd in the name of wild life conservation. The destructive wolf must be countered with defense. Again, our other chances are narrowing by the day. We have a clear choice of living with our wounds or doing a little ground work for the Gambian military to give Jammeh the exit of his entry to power.

Behind close doors, almost everyone agrees with Jammeh's removal, but when it comes to being open and straightforward about it, we think we can play with our language in the name of being termed democrats. Oh well, the shit of democracy hasn't worked and it will not work in a million years. The ingredients of democracy must be present.

The remaining part of the job should be very easy. Jammeh is declared wanted for crimes against humanity.
