Thanks Haruna. Yes, these universities make us lose our baby faces fast. How is your baby face Haruna? Please hold fast unto it!
I'm sorry to hear about D. T. Niane's library. He has become an icon of African oral historiography. Great that Conde is stepping up to help, even though some historical documents are simply irreplaceable. Hope you enjoy the show Haruna.

Nice Galleh. You looked great. You almost blended in the wall behind you. I'm glad I wasn't jinkoying. And you're losing your babyface fast Galleh. I don't know if I like these universities too tough.
On a serious note though Galleh, did you realize Niang suffered a fire that nearly consumed his entire library and some important works? President Conde' has promised to make this library whole again though. Good news. Don't know if its the same Niang you spoke of.
I'm still viewing the program. Just thought I'd share.
Haruna.

Subject: [G_L] Gambian Griot at Creighton University
Hello Friends,
I thought I should share this Youtube video on a Gambian griot performance at Creighton University. Alhaji Pappa Suso, accompanied by balafon player Bala Kuyateh, was invited to the Creighton campus by the Uniersity's Black Studies Program as part of activities marking Black History Month. I was asked to give the introductory remarks explaining the role of the griot in Mande society.
