IT sponsored students thank President Jammeh

Twenty-five Gambian Information Technology Elite Class students who were awarded scholarships to study at the National Taipei University of Technology in Taiwan, have written to the Gambian leader, His Excellency Sheikh Professor Alhaji Dr Yahya Jammeh, thanking him for the move.

The letter reads:
We the Gambia Information Technology Elite Program class wishes to express our sincere appreciation and gratitude to you, the entire government and the people of The Gambia for the scholarship awarded to us to study Bachelor of Science at National Taipei University of Technology, which is one of the most prestigious Universities in Taiwan.

Your Excellency, your vision and dedication towards the human resource development of The Gambia youth cannot be measured. This is because of your foresight and vision to strengthen the human resource base of The Gambia through the provision of study opportunities to qualified individuals and groups in different fields.

We would like to assure you that we would be key partners in the realization of The Gambia’s blue print (Vision 2020 and the Silicon Valley). These, we believe with strong commitment, dedication and hard work is attainable within the stipulated time frame.

Your Excellency, we The Gambia Information Technology Elite Class wishes to express our unflinching loyalty and willingness to support you in your endeavor in ensuring that The Gambia becomes one of the most technologically advanced countries not only in Africa, but the whole world.
