Well, now all the councillors so elected will now elect a Mayor and adjuncts on monday 7th March, 2011. That's how it happens according to electoral law in Mali dealing with municipal government. This election for Mayor and adjuncts of Commune 4 will be overseen by the Governor of the district of Bamako - Hon. Ibrahim Fefe Kone'.

There are anxieties that the old guard of commune 4 are not too thrilled about Hon. Mara becoming Mayor of Commune 4. In my estimation that would be a sad mistake on the part of Hon. Mara's detractors. Mara's party YELEMA has already concluded an alliance with several other elected councillors to head-off such malignant eventuality but we are informed the detractors are very determined to throw a monkey wrench in Mara's smooth election. Not now. Not this time.

Election de Moussa Mara : Une question de sécurité pour la commune IV

Les conseillers élus lors de l’élection partielle du 6 février en commune IV du district de Bamako sont appelés à élire ce lundi 7 mars le maire et ses adjoints. C’est le parti Yelema du jeune Moussa Mara est arrivé en tête avec 19 conseillers. Il a été respectivement suivi du Rpm (8 conseillers), l’Adema (6), le Mpr (3), le Pdes (3) et l’Urd (2).

Des tractations sont en cours pour ‘’enfanter’’ une majorité hétéroclite dont une certaine classe politique, spécialiste dans l’art de la tromperie, détient le secret. Malgré la majorité relative du parti Yelema, des vendeurs d’illusions sont en train de remuer ciel et terre pour empêcher l’ancien maire, Moussa Marra, de récupérer son fauteuil. Mais, ce ne serait pas facile. Car, en commune IV, les jeunes sont déterminés. L’élection de Mara à la tête de la commune IV est une question de sécurité.
