Hi Ron,

I have also been reading about the ketogenic diet. While I am not as educated as many on this list, I was impressed at how this "diet" works wonders on the brains of epileptic children who fail to respond to anti-epileptic meds, and works approximately 55 percent of the time in epileptic adults.

Its no wonder that it helps the neurons and brain in individuals with parkinsons and other conditions.

I just wonder why, if this has been known since ancient greek times ( 400 BCE) when at that time they realized fasting made a dramatic effect on epilepsy, and after the fast, to only provide very limited food: "One inclining to epilepsy should be made to fast without mercy and be put on short rations." (Erasistratus via Wikipedia).

I just don't understand how "modern medicine" and government have been able to mislead the people by putting forth their food agendas, which have been poisoning us for decades. Obesity, diabetes, heart disease, and unknown other diseases are all a result of the toxic grain/carb based food pyramids. Makes me rather perturbed to think about it.

Ok, done ranting. :-)

Have a Peaceful day!
Trish
