Jan Pokorny once told me a story of sitting next to PJ in the architectural exam. About 2/3 of the way through the design portion, (apparently his third time taking it) he got up, announced, "I don't have time for this, I have a party to prepare for" and left. Dude.

Like Johnson, the rough-edged, bare-fisted, poverty-born reporter Rick Bragg went to Harvard, although on a fellowship he had been awarded, much to his surprise, and where he felt utterly out of place:
