My dentist lives in rural Alabama
he has a historic grave yard ful of broken headstones
while I live in rural Mississippi and I have a wife and child and a back molar
a family besieged  with tooth problems
I tiried the old string to the door knob ;
then I tried rubbing "shine " on the affected spot ;
finally I gave in and called the Doc up ...We trade tooth for stone

.... . His studio is a lage multi tiered long cabin complex 
raised on ten huge  steel I beams over a magical river
All the logs are 150yrs old and hand hewn .
The inside has hand carved M&T circular stair way made of  cypress
stairs anchored into a peeled sycamore tree
The Doc ( a nationaly well known oral sugeon ) has h 1.5 mil in computers and  equptment installed in there 
My wofe ( the architect ) needs three implants ;
Peanut has two broken teeth (soccer & baseball);and whatever else kids have
I need a crown at the top and bottom of my mandrill for not keeping my yap shut .
We get there and the both of them are in the chair at 9am
; I get five broken headstones "set" by noon .
They got Peanut on the nitrous and shes talking to blue elephants.
; the Mrs is doing ok but communicates by sign language and guttural sounds that are most unbecoming .
She has another hour in the chair ; .
I take a quick repast at the local  with a ploughmans lunch
and a  bowl of the home made split Pea soup ( with the Hamhocks) 
while imbibing  two jars of the oatmeal stout then its  back to the bone yard .
I get  another two big ones set using long clamps and the Sika 31
for the structual rigidity broken headstones require .
I used to use pins but no more ;(unless necessary for slippage ) 
after Katrina went trough one graveyard the repaired headstones with pins did more damage to themselves than the ones not pinned .
If a headstone is to break again  you want it to break at the repair
I get into the chair at 3pm and I am getting the nitrous
Peanut sez I was "funny"  I don't remember .
;but I do remember talking epoxies with the Doc .
He shows me a little plastic syringe that ejects a small amopunt of epoxie to replace the missing emnamel of a tooth
.It comes in four zones of tooth color and costs the doc $80 bucks a whack  for one small syringe .
While my epoxie costs $134.00 for about two gallons 
We go back next week for round two ; and most likely another one after that
I figure I have another two days and an afternoon to putty cracks
N" awlins finishes up in two weeks ; what a city and I m not talking just the quarter
Wild ..Crazy  in a  Berlin /Wiemar republic  sort of way with a cast of characters right out of mid night cowboy mets the French commune
and Not a bad meal anywhere ; try the Char broiled errsters ; red fish cajun or Poorboys mounded high with so much fresh crab  you can't finish
or fresh shrimp ;or  roast duck or ;roast beef all under ten dollars includes a cold jar of the dark Abita "Jockomo " 
will send pictures of Spirit statue  as I am a bit of a  Ludite ...Peanut will have to guide me  to make sure they are sent /Py
