Thanks Haruna for the brilliant observation. The aim is to make the ideas and views of the UDP heard. The party has been accused of many things, they in some occasions chose to ignore the accusers, but in today's Gambia, people deserve to hear all sides of the story. Hence, Darboe's interactive attitude now. The UDP youth wing is capable of causing a serious upset, all that is needed is continuous encouragement and mobilisation.
The UDP U.K has already conducted a preliminary meeting in London on the 2nd of January this month. There are big plans to forge ahead, your council will be sort Haruna. We are all ears for adding the much needed muscles in derailing the maladministration of Yahya Jammeh.
Ousainou is no coward, his determination and bold moves will cement his legacy. The efforts against the bad government of the APRC is not quick fix matter for the UDP. In that effort, a cross section of Gambians are invited to liaise with the party and end the tyranny.

Joe, i missed the joke on Henry. To be frank, I have always valued your opinion, notwithstanding our sometimes difference of opinion. I see you as a pragmatist and frank writer. And for the good or bad, that is much better than many forms of dialogue. You are also right to be sceptical of our opposition leaders, it is for them to proof their critics wrong. That is why, it is dangerous when some are calling for our online conversation to end.
LJ did touched on Obama and Hilary's battles, but that never cause bitterness to the extend that, they don't form a united team. We are no less capable than they are. We are all human beings. Our rough conversations shouldn't extend to viewing each other negatively in every single conversation.
Haruna, i shall be in touch in due course.

Thanx Suntou for sharing. I was able to view all 7 parts of the entire UDP rally of Serrekunda. This service you provide for us is very valuable and has been one of the missing links in the UDP's chain of communication. You must be commended for it. I particularly like the UDP policy goal of an Integrated Urban Development Plan to aleviate suffering from flash floods and epidemics from uncollected refuse and sewerage.

I encourage you to liaise with UDP sympathisers and party officers so you can coordinate your information dissemination activities and through you I encourage the UDP main in Gambia to appoint a Diaspora Affairs Coordinator. This will help streamline information flow and focus your funding campaigns better. It appears that the UDP is a force to be reckoned with and she has yet a formidable untapped resource among Gambians. I commend the UDP women and youth who form the backbone of the party. The men must consolidate the two arms of the UDP and increase your efficiencies. I have an idea for you. Let's speak on the phone if you're interested.

Thank you again for sharing.
Haruna.

UDP SERREKUNDA MEETING VIDEO

The links to all the meeting videos:

The meetings are divided in English, Mandinka and Wollof.

Part 1/7: The introduction and fan fare before the meeting commences.

Part 4/7: The UDP leader spoke in English in this video.

Part 5/7 This speech is in Mandinka. Darboe talked extensively on Yahya personalising the institutions of the Gambia. Calling things by the name of Yahya's daughter and son. The practise of making civil servants work for Yahya like slaves. The farm managers of Yahya are mostly soldiers. Darboe also talk at length on the difficulty farmers are facing in every evenue of their work. The leader state that Gambians should feel sorry for themselves,as the price of basic commodities are unaffordable. Darboe commend the collective leadership of the Gambian opposition. To me that is a brave stance, as politics is never about highlighting the strength of an opponent. The diffifculty the Kombomkas are facing at the hand of the governement. He said Kombo is now lacking farm lands, he said the government has taken wide areas of lands from the people of Kombo central making them tourism development area and housing estate.

Alh. Ousainou Darboe in action. Brilliant talk and brave in addressing relevant issues at the time. The meeting culminated in the arrest of Femi Peters. An unlawful action to say the least.
The UDp leader's speech was vibrant and personate, we want more of this.

Suntou, if you wish to work with Uwaa (Uwaa is NDAM and NDAM is Uwaa), then you must by force work with the PPP and I must also bravely and forcefully insist that you work with the GDP.  Yes, Henry is a Gambian and an ally.  What, you isolating him because he Christian?

Yes, Ousainou did mention the donation to Taiwan and the corrupting of Ebo Townies, but that is just a start.  He needs to repeat that message more from Barra to Basse.  You from Alumhare, right?  If so, I will personally tell Darboe to cover your compound limits if that is the last bastion of Gambian domicile before a violation of Senegal's territory is recognized.  You seem to live so close to the border, might Suntou be a Senegalese?  Before you begin to represent the UDP, we need to vouch for your citizenship, not a copy, but the one with the blue ink and the thumb print.

I also like the way Ousainou said the UDP will seek a permit for their next rally, however, they will hold a rally with or without a permit.  However, that did not come to pass and Basankabu Jammeh rejoiced in victory, momentarily.  The UDP should exercise their right to peaceful assembly with or without a permit, and no, Sembo, I am not trying to Kill Ousainou.  You see, it is not that hard to begin the demystification of Yaya.  The opposition has a truck load of criminal and financial impropriety on Basankabu, they need to bravely talk about it and that is what Gambians expect them to do - call the thief and criminal out.  See, you can act normal when you do not intend to play the fool. So, stay sane Toe Naa!

Classic Ousainou addressing key issues on the problems of the Gambia. Ousainou bravely touched on the government's donation to Taiwan, and the hypocritcial dishing of cash to certian people at the expense of others.

I recommend this video. Forward with the UDP. We are willing to work with NDAM, NRP and PDOIS.
