I've heard this many times before but none of these guys seem to be able to explain how it was the star that stopped right over the house of baby Jesus so the wise men knew he was in that exact house.  Alignment of planets/stars doesn't cut it.

Subject: Re: Was the Christmas Star Real?

I heard this man on Australian talk radio.  He said they recreated the night sky  for several years about the time Jesus was supposedly born.  He said that at 2 bc in June, I forget the exact date, they discovered Jupiter and Venus conjoined to create a very bright light in the sky.  Brighter than any other.  The conclusion was that the wise men followed this light till they got where they were going.   The whole thing is in a book, and on a DVD he is selling.  I would know more, but, I didn't buy the DVD or book.

Do they explain how it is that the wise men recognized how it was that the star positioned itself over the very house they found Jesus?

Subject: Was the Christmas Star Real?

I particularly enjoy seeing science prove what the bible says all along.  Using modern technology, the sky of Jesus' birth was recreated, and the Christmas star was discovered.  This was the conjoined planets the wise men saw to guide them to the manger in Bethlehem.  It was the brightest heavenly body which could have been seen with the naked eye.  It's like either was so rare or never was seen before or since, I forget.  In any case here is the site where an e-book can be purchased chronicling the search for the Christmas star and it's final discovery.  A children's book can also be purchased with coloring sheets which can be printed.  The site's address is:
