I've recently learned that, for obvious reasons, kalsomine paint makes analysis of paint layers and colors particularly difficult to document. Frank Welsh found kalsomine paints at the interior of an 1840s house from samples I sent him. I eagerly await anything he can glean from my samples to help us date the finishes, let alone confirm colors other than white. QUINN EVANS | ARCHITECTS Ilene R.
