<<Disclaimer: Verify this information before applying it to your situation.>> RE: BLUE DIAMOND GROWERS (NUT THINS crackers) I questioned the likelihood of wheat contamination in their Nut Thins crackers in light of the advisory statement on each product. "Thank you for contacting Blue Diamond Growers. Our Nut-Thins are in fact made in a facility that also makes products containing wheat; however the production of these crackers has been moved to a more isolated area in the facility (away from wheat) and are produced on a dedicated gluten-free line. There are other products that are made on the same production line, but they are all gluten-free. The risk (if any) would be very small. The lines are aggressively cleaned and sterilized between each production run thru the implementation of very stringent GMP's (Good Manufacturing Practices). Additionally, each production run is batch tested to insure that the levels of gluten are below the CODEX standard of 20 ppm. Our tests routinely come back showing 0%. I hope that this helps to answer any concerns you may have; however, if I can be of further assistance, please feel free to contact me. - Deborah Sommers, Consumer Advocate, Marketing Department Sincerely, Janet Y.
