Back in the 70's our company (Mycroft Homes.Sherlock's smarter brother.went over everybody's head) built an underground room for the guy who invented the Whisper Light. He claimed it was for testing circuits in an environment free of ambient radiation. Same idea; down some stairs, around a corner and through the third sealed steel door and you were in the "lab". JO (the client) suggested we see how long we could last down there with the lights out. I made it about thirty minutes in total darkness and total silence and decided I'd had enough sensory deprivation. Strange days.. The entrance had two right angled corridors, cutting edge bomb shelter design as the belief was that radiation waves wouldn't go around corners, or something like that.
