Check out the largest Mud Mosque in
the World - in Djenne, Mali. Facinating. They re-mud it annually using the
embedded ladders. Wow.

Minyanka (also known as
Mamara, Miniyanka, Minya, Mianka, Minianka,
or Tupiire) is a northern Senufo language spoken
by about 700,000 people in southeastern Mali. It is closely related to Supyire. Minyanka is
one of the national languages of
Mali.
Commentary: Haruna - It is likely the Minya people or the Bamana are a
natural integration of the Bambara, Malinke', Fula, Dioula, and the Brong
Ahafo of Ghana. They are found mainly in the confluence of these three
communities between the Niger and Volta rivers from Sikasso in
Mali to Brong Ahafo in Ghana - The Senufo people. It will be
interesting to hear a sampling of the Minianka language. A gentleman Mininka by
the name of Yaya Diallo shares some culture with us but he focuses more on the
medicine, music, and dance culture of his folk. Interesting investigations for a
sociologist or a linguist. Halifa or Sidia of PDOIS. I heard Sidia was involved
in the common alphabetisation of African Languages. I shall call him to see if
he knows anything about the Minianka.
