Throw in the East coasters.  I don’t know if the Tech-Dry team will travel to the East Coast, but they didn’t rule it out.

Cheers

David,

The first quality company that comes to my mind that is also on the west coast is Brisk. I know the guy who runs the NYC office. Their website and Los Angles office is below. Now, if you are askin' 'bout East Coasters, I have a bunch of suggestions!

Subject: [BP] treatments for rising damp and salt attack in buildings

One of our local specialist contractors is planning a research visit to the US in mid-April, to coincide with the California Preservation Society conference in Palm Springs.

They specialise in the treatment of rising damp and salt attack in masonry buildings, particularly residential, but also larger-scale.  They have been working in Adelaide (rising salt damp capital of the world) since the early 1990s.  They originally started out supplying and installing chemical damp-proof courses (retrofit) but now provide a wider range, including poulticing, sacrificial renders and masonry repairs.

They are interested in understanding techniques, products and services in this field in North America.  Can anybody suggest contractors or suppliers they should be talking to?

Cheers

(from a native of the rising salt-damp capital of the world!)

PS  For any one interested, there is a great new publication on treatment of rising damp and salt attack in buildings here in Australia – available for download from:
