Very nice test patch of removing 1920s paint off raw 1880s brownstone rowhouses at 59 and 61 East 90th Street (planned to be combined with a third matching rowhouse to make mega-townhouse for mega-hedgefunder unless he mega-lost it mega-all - socialist preservation establishment is mega-incensed).

The test patch is perhaps 3' x 3', and is of particular interest because it spans the two facades, which are otherwise exactly the same - rockfaced below, smooth above.   They were also painted at different times, with different paints.   (The houses were built as part of the same row.)

But I cannot see a difference from one side to the other, except one side had more surface soiling, not removed in the cleaning (how'd they do dat?), and apparently indicating that it was painted later, allowing more surface deposition.     It is a very clean removal, I cannot tell that these sections were ever painted.  Perhaps they used 5,000 psi with dog kibble.

Unfortunately, the same owner took the third house and spiffed it up to death, perhaps five years ago, now it looks Disney-esque, he left not a bit of age.   I wish he had done the same with me.

Respectfully submitted, Human Sacrificial Layer
