Pattern belief, cognitive models and hierarchical temporal memory fit directly in to the threads I am following in my book on estimating for histo presto. As to how we come about to develop models on which we make predictions as to future results and attach cost/money. Though I think that we can agree that cost estimation is a bit more complex, scaled up, from recognition of stick figures, or apples and pears, walking or sneezing, in the context of a business, of course.
