After decades of using Sonneborn NP1 urethane because that was ALL that 
my partner would accept I was introduced to the GE silicone line SCS2000 
and I like it. Began with a consultant out of Dallas who was reluctant 
to specify urethane sealants and eventually I asked why... seems in 
Texas in the heat they melt out of the joint. So we have done a few 
projects with the GE silicone and it is now my general preference where 
it is applicable... still prefer urethane for a masonry to masonry 
joint. But I'm not trying to sell anything.
