Ralph,

You spent your little tike days in Beverly Hills?

Elizabeth’s Tailor

Only the sick ones.  We lived, and I grew up, in Culver City, which was 15 or 20 minutes from Beverly Hills via 1947 Plymouth coupe.

My pediatrician had the CRestview number.  When my father's father, who had been a (somewhat traveling?) shoe salesman in southwestern Germany in the 1920's, heard the doctor's name (Herbert Livingston Kehr, who I remember being 100 years old and looking like Lou Costello), he told my mother to ask if the Dr was related to the Kehrs of Dorklingen or Doofusburg or Nerdheim or some other one-horse town nobody ever heard of way down on the Rhine.  He was.

My mother once saw Jack Benny crossing the street in Beverly Hills.
