Yep.

As for Edson, when I worked with them, 20 or more years ago on the former Cousinly Estate in Cobble Hill, Brooklyn, they had a very good reputation as far as stucco repair of brownstone, and general repairs of Brownstones. As I think about it, they were referred to now -ex-Cousin-in-Law Karen (via me) by none other than the great and powerful Clem (OHJ) Labine.  Don't know if Edson is still under the same ownership, and they probably no longer have the same bunch of mechanics, but they were good guys back then.

Either you live with deteriorated brownstone and watch it continue to deteriorate; you schmear it so it looks sort of alright for awhile; or you take it out and replace it.  But not many people can afford to replace it with new brownstone, even if you could (a) get the stone and (b) get it carved and (c) get it installed.
