While I have not run into these
applications in my analyses, I find #2 somewhat interesting. Modern
gypsum plasters often incorporate perlite aggregate for low weight and
reduction in noise transmission. In gypsum-based materials the aggregate would
be inert. However, if used in a lime plaster the perlite might exhibit
some interesting pozzolanic properties.

reinforced, to create a 'softer' wall with some resistance to lateral loads
