I've not had any hands-on experience, but I can say the following from discussion with the company vice-president and talking with other owners: There are buttons for each band. And, if you have a cable that you can hook up to a compatible rig, the SteppIR will follow the rig's frequency. As of now, there is no way for us to optimize the settings of the SteppIR as a sighted person can; by optimization, you can make minor length adjustments to maximize forward gain, for example, at the expense of some slightly degreded side lobe performance. You also probably won't know, except by turning the rotor, if you accidentally do the 180-degree switcheruni. I'm not certain if the tuning is totally automatic other than a band switch or if it requires you to watch your swr indicator for minimum swr. Richard
