If memory serves me there was a guy who had a crane service in Bklyn of Queens
(Hulk ? rigging ) who was 1/2 Italian Jewish that had 150 sheets of those massive granite slabs you see on the sidewalks of  So Ho so nicely polished by the traffic of time ;
the reason So Ho had the granite is  this was the lofts of small manufacturers and bluestone wouldn't hold up to the delivery trucks and the heavy machines; that came and went on a daily basis  back  when manhattan was still blue collar
  the patina these slabs exibit beats anything Jackson Pollock ever did 
...they all belong in MoMa ..
.the Blue stone can be found up near Rhinebeck  (Bob Anderson ?)
not far from the OPUS ! sculpture  which if you have never been
its one of the Holy of holies of blue stone garden maze sculpture .....

Me ? I am looking for a decorative artist who I can wine and dine at an old antebellum house and help me restore a 1840 plaster wall with leaf work and festoons ( thats festoons Ralph not spitoons)
canidate must have a good set of legs ...err thats for ladder work Ralph....salary based on experience .....signed ....stoned during the week ,plastered on the weekends .... Py
