Kathy,

while I'm checking in for the flight, i usually ask if I can walk instead of
riding in the chair. The important thing is not to wait until the agen who
is helping you gets there. By that time they are all set with the chair,
and it's less convenient to have you walk. Even if you ask ahead of time,
you may end up in a wheelchair, depending on who helps you. It's one of
those times when I wish I hadn't prayed for patience so much, LOL.

Continuing to pray for your dad and for the rest of the family--oh, and you
too.

>Hey Guys,
>We're still waiting to get the latest update on my dad, but one possibility
>is that I fly out ahead of my family so that I'm sure to make it there and
>then have Greg and the kids join me, if needed. This way, the kids will
>miss less school and all that. Anyway, in talking to our travel agent
>today, she advised us that I should request a wheel chair to insure that I
>get assistance between flights. I'm going from Bangor to Boston, Boston to
>Chicago and Chicago to Green Bay, if I can get one of my siblings to pick
>me up from the airport. GRIN! That's still 50 miles from my dad, but it's
>close. Anyway, is there any way around this wheelchair thing? The agent
>said that if I don't, the airlines is more likely to forget me. I'd love
>your thoughts.
