Faking the fake

It's all in the perception, perhaps. I had a client recently call me to his row house to complain about the "failing outsides and Godawful color staining". True it was failing - but what was failing was the later monochromatic stucco application, the Godawful color staining was the very few areas where the varied color brownstone elements were peeking through.
