/? Bentonite

I have seen several members suggest bentonite as helpful to take if one
is, for example, eating out and there may be inadvertant contamination.

Could anyone who has had any experience with taking it fill me in a bit
more?   I have bought a pure bentonite which is also GF.   The
isntructions are to take it on an empty stomach so do I take it some
hours before going out to a restaurant?   Will it also absorb necessary
nutrients?   It also suggests taking it with a fibre like psyllium which
I have always found much too tough for my digestion.  

Any tips would be appreciated and I will summarize.  Thanks, Jane (in
