The stingray was underneath and the tail came up and stabbed him in the chest. He pulled it out an bled. I seen the story on the internet and it was his cameraman (for 15 years) who was telling what happened. I agre with you Phil. It got him right in the heart. and I believe he bled out. I was really heart broken. Steve was one of my favorite people. I also seen a sad thing on the animal planet. When he bought his son out to show him off he had him blessed by Buddah nuns. I put his family and the zoo on our prayer list for salvation if they need it.
