I am sure somebody on the list has done this. Tell me how.
I want to dual boot Win 98se and win XP. I have done this before and in fact am running it on this computer. I have the Version with the CD and 6 floppy's. In the past I have just used the cd which worked fine except it didn't include the repair feature. I would boot to C: win 98, then put the cd in and it would find D: and load the O/S. No problems.
I am setting up a new computer and decided to attempt to install the complete pkg, disks and cd. The HD is partitioned and has w98se on C: drive and want to put wxp on D: drive. If I use the Disks, it does not recognize the partition or D: and wants to format the whole drive.
I searched the web and MS but don't find a good answer.
The only thing I can think of that I haven't tried is changing the active partition from C to D. Would that work?
Suggestions welcomed.
Thanks
John Dinges
