There isn't always some one on those repeaters to ask, I've run in to that. Not always some one going your way. I won't say it happens often and ham radio is first for me with GMRS second but I'll listen to CB if I have to. If I had kids, I probably wouldn't but there are those times when it comes in handy. I know about what you mean though, it's the same everywhere unfortunately, no one's legal and it's really not even fun but during the day it's a good way to get traffic and stuff and like when I go to CT to visit my sister I'll check while leaving at 4 or 5 AM to see what's out there for traffic. Traffic reporters are always off by about 45 minutes I've found if not more some times. I don't think I'd miss that feature in my F6A, but it's nice to listen to in times like that. I even have a radio here I could hook up if I want to ask about the route we're going though I don't think I've done that twice in the last 10 years just due to the idiots. It's a lot quieter than it was though. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jeff Kenyon" <[log in to unmask]> To: <[log in to unmask]> Sent: Tuesday, May 16, 2006 5:03 PM Subject: Re: just an item of interest and an observation > Hi John and the group.
