Hi Jeff. I found the DX390 to actually be a pretty decent receiver for FM DXing. The shortwave receiver is a bit more sensitive than my SONY ICF2010, but the tuning and the adjustable BFO are infinitely less convenient. Still, I've had my DX390 for about 12 years, and I guess that says something.
