I'm with the rest of the group == Win2k Pro is an excellent OS and there's no reason a new build shouldn't be considered. The only thing that comes to mind that XP has that isn't in 2000 that can be useful at times is the System Restore Point/Recovery functionality. But, even though that's saved by rear end once or twice, it isn't 100% (what of MS's is?), so IMHO I don't think you are missing a whole lot here...
