Ruth,
You can be sure that the addiution you like which kills the flat roof consists of little ziggurat-like levels, each of which will have its own flat roof and/or terrace, and that each and every one of those terraces and flat roofs, without exception, will leak into the apartment of the asshole below.  God punishes those who help themselves...excessively.

Quite frankly, I like the one with the addition on top. It looks finished,
I don't like flat roofed buildings. I had thought from the original
posting I got that they wanted to tear the whole building down and build
something else. I feel if there is a building that is in any way useable
on a property the owners should be required to use that building and not
tear it down and build something new. If we need to conserve resources
this is one way to do so, not fill our dumps with this stuff just so they
can build something else that uses even more resources. Almost any
building can be retrofitted to some purpose. Ruth
