Yes, XP should be able to read the old drive since it supports FAT32. Remember to make sure the jumpers on the drives are set correctly. I've repaired sectors with WinXP's scandisk and have been able to copy pictures and other data to the new drive. I have a similar situation with the old drive formatted for windows Me and the new drive being xp. Since the Me drive is probably Fat32 and the new is not, can the files still be readable in xp?
