I know someone that has theirs opened for transmitting on the medium wave band and below the six meter band. I could only imagine why one would care about the frequencies below 6. Perhaps the cordless phones on 49 megahertz and the mere fact that most cordless here still operate on 49, has something to do with it. Not to mention 49 megahertz phones are a dime a dozen here. I bought me a pair of GE phones for 40 bucks. They're good phones with the speaker on the handheld as well as the base. Only thing is, anyone with a scanner can pick you up and off the top of my head, there's maybe over ten people in my neiborhood who like to monitor since they are devoted scanner listeners as well as ham operators. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Colin McDonald" <[log in to unmask]> To: <[log in to unmask]> Sent: Sunday, June 05, 2005 2:59 AM Subject: speaking of mods This is a multi-part message in MIME format. ------=_NextPart_000_00F6_01C56969.E0F321C0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable speaking of kenwood mods, has anyone who is a total been successful in = opening up the kenwood ts570?
