I have an adopted non-relative female child who is now 3 years of age, whom I have had from infancy, and consequently was unable to breastfeed her.  She has struggled with feedings from infancy, with the usual constipation from commercial formulas. I have tried to sustain her on raw organic foods with little luck.  For milk I experiment with nut and seed butters blended with raw dates. Fortunately, she consumes these "smoothies." But, unfortunately, she has behavior issues. I have tried her on homeopathics, the Feingold program, etc., with no luck. The behavior issues are highly problematic, i.e., self-regulation issues, transitioning difficulties, ADHD, aggression, difficulty going to sleep, cerebral allergies, defiant, doesn't understand, compulsive behavior, head banging.

Has anyone heard of the Feingold program with reference to their beliefs about salicylates in fruits causing behavior and other health issues? That program also permits pineapple provided it is cooked. I support the raw food and vegetarian movements and that is wherein my beliefs stand. Is there any guidance to overcome my child's issues in order for her to have the best quality of life? All help and suggestions are most welcome! Thanks.
