Some versions of Acrobat Reader are incompatible with certain versions of Windows. I had a similar problem when I was using Win98se and upgraded from Acrobat Reader 5.0 to 6.0. My Win 98 was incompatible with Reader 6.0. I had to reinstall Acrobat Reader 5.0 to read the PDF files. I would think, however that your WinXP and Reader 7.0 would be compatible. Have you upgraded your XP?
