Nero will work fine for what you want to do - that is what I used to create
my own Knoppix disk.
Your Nero wizard may be slightly different from mine, but what I do is:
1. compile a new CD
2. Other CD Formats
3. Create a CD from an Image File

From there you simply locate your ISO file and proceed as usual.

As others have pointed out, you'll need to make sure your computer is set
to boot from CD before booting from Hard drive, in order to actually boot
from the CD.
Also, if you haven't already done so, you might want to check the md5 sum
to make sure that the ISO is not corrupt before you burn it. (if that last
sentence made no sense to you, just ignore it).

Good luck, and enjoy - Knoppix is awesome!
