Earlier this morning I posted a message asking how
to retrieve sent text messages through echolink. After hacking around a little
bit I found it. I'd thought I'd share it to all the newbie's on that system. In
the index while a station's connected, when you alt four in to the send button,
it takes you in to the edit field, if you tab once over, you'll get an
instruction prompt telling you to use your reading keys. Providing your screen
is refreshed, jaws will read you all the sent text as you tweak your arrows.
Hitting shift tab will take you back to the edit field where you can than write
text, hitting enter will send it out to everyone on your node. To get out of the
send window and get back in to the index hit alt one, or stay in the edit field,
hit tab again, and read back anything else someone might send. Also, hitting f6
in the index while you're connected to a station will read you the profiles of
the 1 or more stations connected to your node. It's funny because there is
nothing in the help tutorial that explains these functions I found them on my
own just by pressing everything I could think of. Hope this is significant to
someone on the list. Va3kky.
