Sorry to be such an incorrigible lurker. There has been a lot of preservation work in NYC and I have been fortunately but irresponsibly overcommitted for over a year.

 

In addition to the Abigail Van Slyck book, there is a book by Theodore Jones "Carnegie Libraries Across America: A Public Legacy" (New York: John Wiley & Sons, 1997) that lists the US Carnegies by city & state, but not address.

 

I'm hoping to work a little less in 2005, lose weight, and survive the DeutscheBank demolition happening 300 feet from my building.
