Hello all! The facts: Network with 1 XP Home, 1 with XP Pro and 1 with Win98. The XP Home is where most of the action takes place. Most specifically, it has an HP Laserjet 1000 attached to it that the others need to print to. Workgroup name is the same on all three, all have different IP addresses assigned (192.168.0.xxx). All appropriate drives are shared, as in the printer with full read/write permissions. All are firewalled with Zonealarm, all have the full network IP range in the trusted zone. For the XP machines, they both have SP2 installed (the problem seems not related to that - the timing is wrong). Windows firewall is off on both. The XP Pro machine can print to the Laserjet. When attempting to connect to any other resource on the XP Home machine, this error pops up: \\Computer is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions. Access is denied. Cannot get the Win98 computer to even find the printer (although you can see the computer in network neighborhood): \\Computer not available: Access denied. Ping works all the way around. It seems that although the workgroup is available, the whole computer is denying access. I am stumped. Does anyone have any idea how I might go about getting this computer to share?
