When it comes to CPU temperatures, there is no such thing as "too cold".

185F is 85C and that's seems like a meltdown temperature to me. Most
motherboards with overtemp shutdown protection will allow you to set max
temps of 60, 65, or 70C IIRC.

Subject: [PCBUILD] Optimal Operating Temp for AMD Athlon 3200+

I have looked at the AMD info from their website and wish to make sure I am
reading it correctly. Is the maximum operating temp for an Athlon XP 185
degrees farenheit?

Currently, my chip is hovering around the 100-104 range, according to the
motherboard monitoring system.

I have used a non-oem heatsink and fan. The fan is larger than stock and
turns at a lower RPM than the stock one, so I want to make sure my operting
temp is within the acceptable parameters.

Thank you in advance for any assistance.
