hi i wouldnt hold to much of what some tech`s from a company will say i had
a gateway tech crash my hard drive and tell me it was my fault for listenin
to him so i wouldnt pay to much attintion u can fdisk the partion and make
sure u fdisk the (mbr) master boot record too that mite be were its at and
then do a format and reinstall,iam sure if u go to freepctech they will have
a boot disk u can down load and that sould have fdisk on it  so good luck
and have fun ,oh ps i aint sure about the master boot record  mybe some one
on the list can tell u the right typing for the mbr/  fdisk theres a space
