Mary writes: <<i think that my firewall zone labs blocked web adaptation technology, including Via Voice & large print,>> Mary, if you are talking about Zone Alarm firewall by Zonelabs, all you need to do is disable it by right clicking the ZA icon in the Taskbar and telling it to shut down. You can do this before attempting to access the Viacom site, and re-activate it later from its folder in Program Files (or by rebooting). In general, it will only block sites you tell it to. It does not ask for updates unless you have it set to auto-update. Bring up its control panel (double-click the icon) and go into Overview/Preferences and tick updates to manual. No need to throw the baby out with the bathwater. ZA is a good and very popular firewall and you should retain it for protection. It is not wise to browse the 'Net without some sort of firewall protection. Just turn ZA off if you fell it's unduly interfering, which it can do occasionally with some sites. If you really do want to uninstall it, go into Control Panel/Add-Remove Programs, and scroll down to Zone Alarm. Or you can open the ZA folder and d-click the file Zauninst.exe.
