"Don't you mean that Yaya and his supporters did not come on the program because they could not defend all the documented atrocities they have committed and which were being discussed, and which they know to be true? We are simply stating what is happening in The Gambia brother, we are not making it up." No Edi, You did not make the above statement and probably never would. I did. What is my shouting doing? It is informing the World that we have tyranny at home masquerading as a democratic government and killing our people and the evidence is there for all to see, and we are just gettign started. Yaya Jammeh does not under-estimate what our shouting both on and off the net is doing. Have you ever seen me insult Yaya Jammeh? I have called him a Tyrant and a dictator which he is. So you think we should sit and wait for Yaya to be driven out of power by Allah? Allah decides all things but he is also against injustice and he expects us to fight it. Just read your Qur'an my dear. You say you do not want Yaya in power, but are you really sure that is your position? I am not looking to the U.N or Bush to get rid of Yaya for us, that is a simplistic view. We, the citizens who are standing up against this tyrannical regime will do it, and no amount of lectures from you or anyone else will stop that. The likes of Jammeh like citizens like you who believe they are helpless and that government and political leaders are all powerful. I do not go home because I am outspoken against this regime and have been for years now, and they imprison and threatend journalists for simply reporting the news as it happens at home. I do not go home because this regime just arrested, falsely charged and falsely imprisoned a leader of one of the opposition parties for advocating that the people exercise their rights to demonstrate against the terrible conditions this regime has brought to bear upon Gambians. I do not go home because this regime has dispatched rogues in the middle of the night to pour gasoline upon and burn down a radio station and the offices of a newspaper simply for allowing the people to have a voice. I do not go home because this regime has presided over murders and attempted murders, the latest being that of an attorney who was defending a case in which they were the plaintif, and not a single one of these incidents have ever been investigated and one has to conclude they have something to hide. I do not go home because students demonstrating were ordered shot in cold blood in the street like dogs by this regime. The list goes on. Finally, I do not go home because I want to stay alive and continue doing what I and others are doing until thsi regime vacates our seat of government. Have you been sent to entice people into going home so the tyrants can kill us like they are killing innocent Gambians? Who is listening to me you ask? Gambians who know they have rights and their efforts can make a difference and they have a responsibility to stand up for their rights, and our numbers are growing. Justice loving people all over the World who abhor tyranny and dictatorships. Yaya Jammeh is listening to us also Edi because he knows that what we are doing or saying is not insignificant. It has contributed to bringing other dictators who thought they would be in power for ever, and they are now squirming before the people, and it will contribute to bring thsi dictatorship down too. People like you who attack those like me for standing up against injustice are also listening to me and know what my shouting can accomplish otherwise why would you work so hard to try to stop us?
