Have you tried unplugging and reconnecting the keyboard? I doubt that's the
problem but its worth the effort.

Subject: [PCBUILD] BOOT UP PROBLEM

Hope someone can help with this. I have an old 2nd computer workhorse that
continues to serve me well until now. It is a Pentium - S 100Mhz. I have
been working on it continually for several hours up until an hour ago at
which time it froze while I was running a search program. Symptoms are now:
won't restart on reset button; unplug power and replug starts up, runs
memory test; tells me that PNP INIT Completed, sits for a moment and then
gives me a message (screen stays the same) "Press F1 to continue , DEL to
enter setup", I press F1. I press F1 and nothing happens. Press DEL, nothing
happens. I then realize nothing happens because the keyboard is dead. No
lights. Tried several times same result. Now just tried again, only this
time, beside the aforementioned, it jumps to "Award Software, Inc. System
Configuration", showing CPU info, Base Memory, Drive A, Pri. Master Disk,
but no info under listing for serial or parallel ports. Again keyboard is
without lights and I can go no further.
Knowing how knowledgeable this list is I am sure someone can point me in the
right direction.
Thanks

Maurice Reid
