After seeing so many approving
comments on Franken's book "LIES
And the
Lying Liars Who Tell Them" from the discerning minds of this
list, I went to our fine locally owned bookstore to obtain a copy.
The charmingly Canadian less than middle aged bookseller commented that the book
was out of stock again and was being reordered. A day later when some
arrived and I was making the purchase at the counter, I noticed that in handling
the book, only her finger tips quickly touched the bold jacket
with its big shocking red and yellow letters on a dark
ground. As she finished the sale, she commented aside to
me, quietly under her breath, "I don't think I
could buy a book with a title like that!"
