I had an issue a couple of months back where, after a sudden power failure, Win 2K Pro on my home desktop became very slow. What I did was run Properties|Tools|Error-Checking for each drive volume -- some required a reboot. Once it was done, performance returned to normal. So far, I have tried disabling Norton Antivirus Autoscan but it made no difference. I have tried to remove a registry entry (tip I got from nospin) that stops w2k from looking for scheduled activities with no change. The only thing I can think of next is to completely wipe out the c: drive and re install w2k and suffer the pain. > > Is there anything you could suggest before I make this leap.
