Have you seen the ad published in The New York Times in May 1967 by a group of downtown businessmen opposed to the state-sponsored construction of several million sf of office space to be rented on the private market.  It shows the trade center with a jet .... well, I don't have to draw you a picture.  It was in response to this criticism that Leslie Robertson said that the Trade Center had been designed to take the impact of a fully loaded jet.   Sounds like others foresaw it for him -- and he made up a response.   Christopher
