Julip,

Well... I have to admit that I have had many junkets to Home Depot with my son and expect that there will be a few more in future. It does give something to the experience to have an attentive apprentice along to show the ropes of hardwaring and to tell the stories of the good old days, to say nothing of training in the fine art of cart pushing and plywood swinging. I think he was most impressed the day I drove off with 1/4" plywood tied on top of the station wagon and it blew off, actually it ripped itself in half and then blew off, in broad daylight on a clear and sunny day, and we were never able to find it. I have also, though, made it a point to introduce him to more traditional hardware venues. He shows a real sensible knack for making sure we do a good job with roping the load.
