Ralph,
There is something appropriate in giving the death penalty to someone
defacing a tomb.  Do you remember (some years back) a responsible
magazine carried a photo of the fellow attacking a Michelangelo with a
hammer?   The caption was "Pieta?  I thought it said Piñata."
