Well Ken, I
think it is all about you. To dream of snakes is a warning to pay
attention to bad things around you. To dream of a snake that is trying to
bite you means there is a pretend friend or enemy in your life that is trying to
do you harm. (The mud on its face may be an enemy in disguise.) To
have control of a snake means you are in the process of trying to work out or
on what is being done to you, but a lazy snake means the situation has
been going on for a long time or that the person or persons doing bad
things to you is not aware of what they are doing or the impact it has on
you. Are you reading any books on dream analysis or just Wittgenstinian
architecture?
Best,
Leland
With a piece of fishing line wrapped
around it's neck I captured a poisonous snake about four feet in length and
big around as a baseball bat. The snake was alive, wanted to bite me, but was
a bit lazy or inept. As long as I kept tension on the fish line and moved
ahead of the snake it did not bite. Interesting fangs, quite large and
foreboding. I was reminded of once killing a large copperhead on a jobsite in
Maryland by cutting its head off with a shovel and then hanging the headless
carcass on the OSHA safety billboard until days later the stench was enough to
alert the straw boss, the important son of one of the owners. This time I put
the snake outdoors without getting bit, though it did threaten to lunge at my
leg. I was worried our dog would be curious and get bit and it occured to me I
did not know where I had put the snake. I went outside and saw the fish line
and pulled on it. The snake's head was covered with mud so that it could not
see. I took the snake out back of our yard and hung it, alive, on a tree limb
from the fish line so that it would eventually die. Importance of being able
to tie knots is so that snakes do not get loose. I had to pick from several
small limbs on different tress until I found one that I thought would be
strong enough. I woke up with this phrase in my head, "It is not always about
you." ][<
